Supporting those who support others

Alongside their key areas of focus – the environment, social equity and education – the Audemars Piguet Foundations are committed to promoting the autonomy and resilience of members of civil society, notably through organisational development (OD). To this end, they are supporting a programme run by the Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement (IECD), which is helping to structure a group of organisations working to foster socio-professional inclusion in Marseille.

In the north-east of Madagascar, in the dense forest or turquoise waters of Sainte-Marie Island, dealing with ecological issues is not just the business of experts, it is also carried out by the women and men who live there on a daily basis, and who made it possible to lay the bases for a protected marine and terrestrial area covering 265,000 hectares. Reintroducing manual intelligence in secondary schools

In February, year 8 pupils from Pasteur secondary school in Arbois, France, were given the opportunity to experience a school day like no other thanks to the association De l’or dans les mains. Its "Je découvre les métiers manuels" (Discovering manual trades) programme, supported by the Audemars Piguet Foundation for Common Good since 2023, introduced them to a range of manual trades through immersive workshops run by artisans from the region.

A new educational forest trail was inaugurated in Grimentz this summer. Developed with the support of the Audemars Piguet Foundation for Trees, the project is the result of a partnership between the Association forestière des propriétaires de forêt du Valais central (the Central Valais Forest Owners’ Association), Anniviers Tourisme, and Forêt Valais.
