The support of the Audemars Piguet Foundation for Common Good will enable Sierre Partage to acquire a cold room, which is essential for guaranteeing food quality, complying with hygiene standards and maintaining the cold chain.
The Sierre Partage association provides essential support to people in need in the town of Sierre and the surrounding area, in the canton of Valais. This support – mainly in the form of food aid – has changed significantly in recent years as a result of the region’s rising poverty.
Every week, Sierre Partage organises 135 distribution appointments for more than 300 beneficiaries. As a local organisation, it is also committed to combating social isolation through regular contact with its beneficiaries, friendly exchanges and, if necessary, referrals to other support structures.
Founded around thirty years ago, Sierre Partage’s facilities are outdated and have poor energy ratings. They thus urgently need to be modernised. The support of the Audemars Piguet Foundation for Common Good will enable the association to acquire a cold room, which is essential for guaranteeing food quality, complying with hygiene standards and maintaining the cold chain. This investment will improve not only the services provided, but also the conditions in which the beneficiaries are welcomed and the volunteers work.
