Together, Le Printemps, the Club and the future Mirandolina Troupe form a coherent and progressive programme designed to strengthen access to culture, foster social connections and encourage intergenerational dialogue.
Open to all audiences, the Théâtre de Carouge aims to be a place for exchange, sharing and conviviality. Deeply rooted in its local community, it structures its activities around two major social challenges: facilitating access to culture and contributing to the strengthening of social ties. Through a variety of initiatives, the theatre seeks to remove barriers to cultural participation and to encourage encounters, exchanges and dialogue, with the aim of promoting social cohesion.
It was within this framework that the pilot project Printemps Mirandolina was launched in 2025, with support in particular from the Audemars Piguet Foundation for Common Good. This first edition enabled 195 people, including 114 seniors, to take part in one‑week theatre workshops organised in half‑day sessions. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive. The workshops generated strong emotional experiences, fostered meaningful encounters and created valuable spaces for sharing. However, many participants expressed a common regret: the short duration of the project.
In order to extend this momentum and ensure that the impact of the initiative is sustained over time, the Théâtre de Carouge has envisioned a continuation of Printemps Mirandolina in the form of a programme running throughout the theatre season. Entitled the Mirandolina Club, this project offers former participants monthly meetings centred on theatre, theatrical practice and performances.
This approach is also part of a longer‑term development perspective, with the introduction, from 2028 onwards, of a new participatory creation project: the Mirandolina Troupe. Each season, this initiative will bring together amateur performers from different generations to create a production integrated into the theatre’s programme.
