The Restos du Cœur was founded in 1985 by the French comedian Coluche to distribute meals to the most deprived populations during the winter months. Over the years, the Restos du Cœur has broadened its scope to include a wide range of activities designed to combat social exclusion and improve the living conditions of people in precarious situations.

The charity is run by thousands of volunteers at more than 2,000 centres across France. It distributes millions of meals each year and provides invaluable help to hundreds of thousands of people in need.

The Restos du Cœur plays a crucial role in supporting vulnerable populations in Paris. With several distribution centres and numerous support programmes, it strives to meet the specific needs of people living in the French capital, where the challenges of precarity are particularly pronounced.

The project supported by the Audemars Piguet Foundation for Common Good aims to increase the number of hot meals distributed each year to Parisians in need by 10%. This means that an extra 69,000 meals, including soups, salads and desserts, can be provided to the charity’s beneficiaries each year.
