Through this project, the Madrid Food Bank aims to provide a daily glass of milk to 5,000 children and 1,700 people aged over 75, for one year.
Founded 30 years ago, the Madrid Food Bank aims to meet the nutritional needs of the most disadvantaged people. As part of its mission to provide basic necessities to these populations free of charge, it particularly focuses on certain vulnerable groups, such as children and the elderly. To this end, it has launched a specific project with the aim of providing a daily glass of milk to 5,000 children and 1,700 people aged over 75, for one year.
Milk is an essential foodstuff that is often difficult for deprived families to obtain. In this programme, the Madrid Food Bank works with a network of local partners, including charities and distribution centres, to help meet the basic nutritional needs of people living in precarious conditions, while improving their quality of life.
